Free county TNR Orange County residents may request help for up to five outside or community cats per household each year.

Association scanner access

The Association has access to a pet microchip scanner. Residents can request help scanning a found dog or cat, or confirming a pet's chip identification number.

  • A scanner reads the chip's identification number; it does not track the animal's location.
  • Keep a found animal safely contained and separate from other pets while assistance is arranged.
  • For an injured, aggressive, or unsafe animal, contact Orange County through 3-1-1.

Enter the chip number to check for an approved Surrey Ridge registration. The result only confirms whether a record exists; private homeowner information is never displayed.

Attach a current JPG, PNG, or WebP photo up to 6 MB. The photo is private and available only to directors.

Every found-pet check creates a private report for the Board.

Help directors reunite a found pet with its household

Homeowners may submit a pet's chip number and contact information for Board review. The record becomes searchable only after approval, and a public lookup never reveals a homeowner's name, address, phone number, or email.

Check Orange County's income-qualified voucher status, or contact a low-cost clinic directly. Bring proof of residency, income or benefits if requested, and available vaccination records.

Community or feral cat

Start with Orange County's free Trap-Neuter-Return program by calling 3-1-1. The cat is sterilized, vaccinated, ear-tipped, and returned to the property where it lives.

Contact Orange County Animal Services through 3-1-1. Spay and neuter programs are not a substitute for reporting an animal that is creating an immediate safety or welfare concern.

Owned-pet voucher

When funding is available, qualifying Orange County residents can receive free spay or neuter surgery for an owned dog or cat.

  • Household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, or participation in Medicaid or ACCESS EBT.
  • Limit of two pets per household.
  • Includes rabies vaccination when needed; added veterinary services are not included.

Free community-cat TNR

Orange County Animal Services coordinates trapping and clinic transport for smaller outside-cat populations.

  • Available to Orange County residents for up to five cats per household each year.
  • A property contact must agree that the cats can remain after they are returned.
  • This is not an owned-pet voucher, relocation service, or adoption-placement program.

Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando operates a low-cost clinic in partnership with Orange County.

  • Spay, neuter, vaccines, and basic veterinary services are offered.

Spay N Save in Longwood

Spay N Save offers low-cost surgery for owned pets and a separate walk-in program for feral and community cats. The community-cat program requires a humane trap and an ear tip.

Ask for Wednesday's Community Cats TNR Grant.

Spay N Save's current price list shows a “Grant $15” option for feral cats. Its grant page says to mention the Wednesday grant at check-in. Because the two pages describe the benefit differently, confirm the final amount due by calling 407-920-4894 before trapping or traveling.

Community-cat walk-in

  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m.
  • One feral cat per household under the current grant.
  • The cat must arrive in a humane trap and receive an ear tip.

Owned-pet pricing

  • Domestic cat: $77 with vaccines.
  • Income-qualified dog surgery starts at $100 for males and $110 for females.
  • Age, weight, pregnancy, parasites, and other medical factors may add charges.

Before you go

  • Confirm whether the animal is an owned pet or an outside/community cat.
  • Call the provider to confirm the program, appointment or walk-in availability, and total cost.
  • Ask which proof of Orange County residency, income, or benefits is required.
  • Use a secure carrier for an owned cat and a humane trap when a community-cat program requires one.
  • Follow the clinic's current feeding, arrival, vaccination, and aftercare instructions.
